Nature Coast Carving Club - Citrus County, FL

This club is located about 50 miles north of Tampa.  They meet at different locations 3 times a week so all members can join in the carving fun.  Click here to go to their website.

Ralph Ziegler - Fine Hand Carved Birds - Hawaii

Ralph specialized in the exotic birds of Hawaii, those with the names you wouldn't want to try to pronounce, but now he has expanded to most things with feathers.  He does outstanding work and you can view it by clicking here!

Art by Fire

Sharon Bechtold is one of the finest Pyrographers around!  After seeing her work at the GOW, I took 2 of her classes and have been hooked on Pyrography since.  She is not only a terrific artist, but she is also one of the best instructors I have ever taken a class from.  Sharon also carries a line of woodburning tools & accessories on her site.  Check out her site and view her Gallery and check the Calender to see where you can take one of her classes. 

Sherry Lou Art - Racine, WI

Sherry Lou does a variety of art forms.  Her site shows her chainsawed Herons to her unique "Shattered Glass" art items to a full size carved Bald Eagle.  You will be glad you clicked here to check out her site!  Sherry now offers on-site chainsaw carving!

Shade Tree Sculptures - Laurel, MT

From flutes to totem poles to carousel horses, Barb has done them all... and done them well!  Stop at her site to see some of the fabulous things she has done.  You will also see the only Palm trees "growing" in Montana!  Click here for to view some wonderful work.

Whittlins 'n Wood - South China, ME

Mosh (Marcia) carves Santa's, Nautical items and woodspirits in her Maine studio.  She also does a number of her own special "one of a kind" carvings.  The beauty of Maine comes through in her work and you can see it by clicking on this paragraph!

Chip-Chat's magazine

Chip-Chat's is the bi-monthly publication put out by the "National Woodcarvers Association".  It contains news of the latest carving shows, helpful articles and NO advertising.  There is an annual list of vendors and each issue lists many of the upcoming seminars, shows and other special events related to woodcarving.  It is well worth the $12.00/yr membership cost.  Click here to go to their site.

Wildfowl Carving Magazine

This is required reading for any serious bird carver.  It is full of patterns, painting guides, reference material and other information for the bird carver.  Published four times a year.  Click here to check out their site.

Woodcarving Illustrated
